the east shore freeway, we have a trouble spot on west 80 bat as be avenue as you work your way toward berkeley. there is a bumper and lots of debris scattered across the highway. five cars are off on the shoulder with flat tires. traffic was fine before this, it quickly backed up beyond 580 coming out of deep area. drive time as quickly increase, 18 minutes from an old headed into the oakland a's. >> the top story we're are following the fire, look at this below. more than 2,000 a. and another bad day of heat and gusty winds and southern california. this has been running down called spokane and all night long along pacifica i way. it is headed toward malibu now. 15 homes

langill and she was last seen by her parents about a mile from here around 6:00. she and the some sort of family dispute and left the house and has not been seen cents. she was last seen wearing black ski jeans and a black t-shirt. she is reddish brown hair is about 55 and weighs about 130 lbs.. the command post is being set up once again and they're looking into places where she used to work to try to find her. there'll be on zero calls, rubble calls going out to residents threw out the morning alerting the community to be on the lookout for her. her family loves her and they're quite concerned about her and authorities say because she is so young and because she left angry or upset the what the fine her before anything bad happens to her. >> hopefully it's just a case of first city tonight at a friend's house and now that it is 7:00 to wake up

one in camarillo. you can see the flames coming from this fire, it is dry, it is hot. there lot of homes in the path of this claims and some come right up against cul-de-sacs and against holmes. it is headed toward the ocean and towards malibu. >> on the phone with us is that nick shuler with cal fire. what is at the latest? the latest we had was 10,000 a. in you had a briefing, what is the latest from you? >> the fire is 10,000 a. and 10 percent contained. we had some great successes last night but we do have challenges ahead based on whether, the potential for the weather to the change directions and a lot of unburned fuel as well. >> what about the homes that are in danger? >> fortunately, last night we were able to protect a

large number of homes. we still have approximately 4000 homes that are threatened. >> was that a mandatory evacuation? >> yes it was the western part of this fire. >> we looking at pictures and we can't really see the flames. the notice that the direction changes suddenly or it spreads everywhere at a constant rate? >> was burned all the way down the pacific coast highway and now it is burning south. we're about 20 mi. from palo.malibu. some structures that are even burned? >> there has been some damage but we have not confirmed the number of damaged homes. possibly the next few days. what are huge

direction. we should see some westerly winds by 8:00 p.m. tonight. temperatures will cool down as we head into the weekend and that is certainly good news for firefighters. focusing on bay area forecast, we're starting off with a gorgeous look of the golden gate bridge. temperatures are still pretty cool in the north bay, santa rosa 45, 48 napa up, upper 50s east bay's shoreline and 60 currently in san jose. following the numbers into the afternoon, future cast four show '70s and an abundance of '80s by 2:00 today. after an highs, 3:00 p.m. or read is showing on the screen indicating where we will see some nineties. we certainly have set the stage to break some records. look live here. there are six strike teams from the bay area. you can see people walking around on the porch, those are firefighters. they had mandatory evacuation of homes. that is about 20 mi. away from malibu headed towards the pacific. the weather is right there because they have the winds and high temperatures and it will be hot again. the summit fire is 60 percent contained and this one is at 3,000 a.. it started on wednesday and destroyed at least one home and a couple of firefighters were hurt. this one as much smaller but you can see the smoke and flames from this one too. all these conditions are just horrible and making this very difficult. >> it is also drier so there
